The Real Cost of Free Stuff

Donated items—weights, gym equipment, furniture, supplies—are incredible gifts to our community. But getting them from Point A to Point B takes more than goodwill. It takes time, trucks, gas money, and strong backs. That’s where our volunteers step in.

What’s Involved

When we receive donated items, here’s what it often takes to get them into the hands of people who need them most:

  • Transportation: Renting a U-Haul or borrowing a truck to haul larger items.

  • Pickup & Delivery: Coordinating schedules, loading gear, and safely delivering it where it needs to go.

  • Assembly & Setup: Sometimes items need to be re-assembled or installed so they can actually be used right away.

  • Muscle Power: Heavy lifting is our specialty, but it takes a team to move big pieces safely and efficiently.

Your donation fuels the cost of transporting, assembling, and delivering gym equipment and other donations to communities that need it most.

How You Can Help

  • Drive: Have a truck, trailer, or just a license and some time? You can be the wheels behind our work.

  • Lift: Join the crew for pickups and deliveries—we’ll put your strength to good use.

  • Cover Costs: Donations that help offset rental fees, gas, and supplies keep these efforts moving smoothly.
